- SOLAS approved
- U.S. Patent awarded for the garment material
DESIGN
Trellchem® VPS Flash comes in three different designs to fit all user preferences:
-
Encapsulating design type CV
-
Encapsulating design type VP1 (larger visor)
-
Non-encapsulating design type T
GARMENT MATERIAL
A Nomex® base fabric combined with an outside chloroprene rubber coating and on inside a multilayer plastic film offering an outstanding chemical barrier – more than 8 hours protection against a wide range of chemicals. The material has excellent abrasion resistance, withstands flash fire & liquefied gas and fulfils all garment material requirements of the most demanding standards in the world without any added protection required.
SEAMS
The seams are stitched with aramid thread for superior strength and durability. On outside the seam is sealed with a glued-on rubber tape and on inside a welded-on barrier laminate tape. The welded-on barrier tape provides a continuous barrier layer across the seam, giving the same chemical protection as the garment material itself.

VISOR
The visor is made from a rigid 2 mm impact and chemical resistant PVC and comes in two optional sizes; CV or the larger VP1. It is covered by a replacable, antistatic Tear-off lens.
FACE SEAL
Non-encapsulating (type T) suits have a rubber face seal which is anatomically designed for optimum safety and comfort. Also, a Mini Hood comes with all Trellchem® type T suits. Read more.
ZIPPER
The standard zipper is a strong and durable gastight chloroprene rubber coated zipper. EN 943-2/ET certified suits are equipped with the Trellchem® HCR zipper, which includes a barrier film for increased chemical resistance. The zipper is closing downwards, for added safety, and is protected by a splash guard (flap).
VENTILATION
A ventilation system is included as standard and adds safety due to a constant level of overpressure inside the suit. The Trellchem® Regulating valve has 3 ventilation rates (2, 30 and 100 l/min) plus zero/off position and is as an option also available in a passthrough version for use with external air supply.
GLOVES
Ansell Barrier® inner glove and outer Trellchem® Viton®/Butyl rubber glove. Suits certified to NFPA 1991 also have an additional outer knitted cut protective glove, AlphaTec® Overglove, made from Kevlar® fiber. The gloves are attached with the Trellchem® Bayonet glove ring system, which offers quick and simple glove exchange
FOOTWEAR
Suits can be fitted with either sewn-in socks/booties made of the garment material or attached Nitrile rubber safety boots with European approval as Firemen’s boots (not on suits certified to NFPA 1991). The boots are fixed with an ergonomically designed ring attachment, for simplified boot exchange
